The 941 Camino Del Mar team provided the public with a number of opportunities to review and comment on the project. The team hosted two public workshops in 2017 and 2018 to share information about the project and seek input early in the process. Part of the City of Del Mar’s Community Participation Program, these workshops provided the team with valuable input from the community that helped inform the project’s final design. The project was also presented to the Design Review Board to gather input prior to public hearings. The input received through these meetings has resulted in a number of changes to the project to address issues that were raised.

In June, both the Planning Commission and City Council voted to approve the Specific Plan (subject to a public vote). The project design was approved by the Design Review Board in August.

The 941 Camino Del Mar Specific Plan was voted on by the public on November 6, 2018 and was approved with nearly 80 percent of the vote.
